Job Description
- Read and analyze project requirement specifications.
- Produce high and low-level design documents such as application diagrams, flowcharts, and sequence diagrams.
- Participate in the entire development lifecycle, writing well-designed, testable code, and actively contributing to implementation and testing phases.
- Perform code reviews to maintain high coding standards and ensure it aligns with the design plan.
- Troubleshoot, maintain and upgrade existing systems.
- Plan, design, and manage cloud infrastructure, including setup, maintenance, and monitoring. Collaborate closely with team leads to align with the system architecture.
- Undergo training on AWS Cloud Technologies to be able to handle Cloud related tasks for new hires with zero or minimal AWS experience. For experienced hires, it is an upgrade to your AWS skills.
- Support continuous improvement like R&Ds on alternatives and new technologies.
- Collaborate with fellow developers and offer support or guidance when needed.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or other related fields
- At least 2 years of experience with Node.js and backend development.
- Proven work experience in Web application development and REST APIs.
- Experience working with Relational Databases such as MySQL, Postgres, etc.
- Proficiency in application design concepts such as UMLs, sequence diagrams, and ERD.
- Git proficiency.
- Familiarity with software engineering tools such as Jira, UML tools, Slack, etc.
- Good problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Nice to Have
- Basic/Proficient Linux skills
- Experience in using Docker
- Front-end skills (React, Angular, or Vue.js)
- Experience in AWS, DevOps
Extra Awesome
- Business-level Japanese communication skills
- N1/N2 Level (we offer a good incentive)
- Working experience as JP on-site engineer for more than a year.
